I've heard that some companies basically just strap a heatsink to the ram, and it doesn't fully connect if help at all. I have an extra ram sink here with thermal tape. Should I remove the corsair ramsink, or is the corsair one good enough?

I'm going to try and achieve 190+mhz

Just be aware that removing the memory heatspreader will void your Corsair warranty. I dont know where you read that the Corsair heatspreader doesnt make full contact, but under a bright light if you hold the memory under it you can clearly see if the Thermal tape is making contact or not.

Personally I think the info you read is wrong as Corsair uses a decent heatspreader and they do a decent job affixing it.
