I returned a hard drive that I didn't do a zero fill format (low level format), but I did delete the partition. Am I alright?

Worried about your data?

Unless somebody is really determined to get at that data and has a few utilities to help them you should be fine. If someone installs the disk in a fresh machine and boots from the floppy, then the disk will demand that they repartion and format the drive.

Alright thanks. It's not the data I'm worried about, it's my "free" version of windows xp that I'm worried about. I don't want them to get crazy that's it's a "free" one and try to sue me for it. Other then that, I don't have any personal information of me on there except for my name (maybe my ip address).
