My abit BD7 motherboard does not recognize my abit GF4 MX Pro video card during pNP.
Any suggestions on settings for bios, does anyone know if there are compatibility issues between these.

Thank you for the welcome.
Nope. It does not use it during the boot at all. Even when I clear the cmos and start again.
I have taken all the cards out bar the AGP, left the CDROM and HDD but it still does not recognize it.
It is a P4 2.2 (should be northbridge).
I put a PCI VGA card in and the machine boots quite happily and I have installed the OS etc but when I remove the VGA card it still does not recognize it.
Although I have left the bios automatic (apart from setting the boot output to AGP first) is it possible that I have a combination of interrupts that effectively causes the bios to ignore the AGP?
Thanks
Alistair
no, i dont think so. specially if youve tried with removing some devices.
do u know if the card works at all? have you tried it with another system?
by the way, if you have only that agp card and you boot to windows, you can see everything well but windows wont show you the standard pci adapter in the device manager? its strange because if you have any output you should have also a device listed and then the device should even use an IRQ. are you sure you not have the devices manager to hide or to show devices by connection or something, are not you just missing it?
what if you try installing the nvidia drivers, what does it happen?
