case temp 28c CPU 50c. Whats an avg difference in temps?

I'm running an AMDxp2000,A7V333 with a swiftech mcx465 CPU cooler.

At idle (well folding) the case sits at about 28c and the CPU sits at about 50-51c (59-61 under load)

The CPU temp does not go down if i remove the side cover. I'm using AC3 paste on the HSF. I have replaced all the stock fans with sunon 42.5CFM fan (Very Quiet).

Any ideas on dropping the CPU temp? Thinking about using emory cloth to make the bottom mirror smooth.

Is there an "average" difference in these temps?

yes there is, if your cpu is around 15 degrees higher than the case..that is okay. If the case is around 10~15 higher than ambient then that is okay. This is generalized so let the flames begin.
