Thanks for the offer, I've already snagged a board to use and now just looking for RAM to go with it. The board I got (Maximus IX Hero) was cheap due to it having a bent pin that I can fix and got it for $85 shipped, with some luck the rest will be fine and it does look OK overall.
If you have any RAM sticks I could possibly purchase for it let me know and I'll see if I can't do something. Doesn't have to be uber-RAM or anyhting like that, just something to get this setup up and running.

Don't think I'll be using my z170 (or z270) setup for a month (or maybe more). Want me to mail you a board and a couple nice sticks so you can play with your new cpu? If so, let me know which mobo (z170mocf or z270 apex) and your mailing addy. Can get them out to you this Saturday.
