Hey Bogie, you may have deserved some slack but keep in mind these guys are cleaning up after people when they'd rather be using and enjoying the forums. If it weren't for people forgetting or ignoring the rules, they'd have more time to be well adjusted regular members who don't bother anyone.
That said, if I were you I'd shoot mudd a PM and let him know you took care of it and give him your feedback directly. He's a good guy, and was probably just annoyed it seemed you might need reminded. I mean, if you found what you needed, why wouldn't you clean up the thread then instead of trying to remember to clean it up later? From a logical standpoint, it makes the most since to update your classified threads with the current status and cleanup once they are complete.
If you always do that, someday it might be the same mod who gets your back if someone tries to rip you off. We do a lot of work, and we are on your side - even if we sound a little gruff at times.
