Hey folks,
I built my computer about a year and a few odd months ago, here are the specifications:

AMD64 Orleans 3500+ (OC'd to 2.9ghz)
GeForce 7950GT
Corsair HX520W PSU
MSI K9N Platinum (No SLI)
2GB of OCZ DDR2 667
Sound Blaster Audigy 2
250GB SATA..

Anyway, I play a few games, nothing real intensive.. I also do a bit of game development.. anywho

I'm looking for a cheap dual-core solution with a new heatsink. I was thinking of This CPU. It's cheap, it's dual core, it's 65nm/watt, and it's 2.5ghz

For the heatsink, I have no idea.. but the total price of the heatsink and CPU should not exceed about $180.

I'd just like it to be fairly quiet (I'm not a quiet freak, though), fairly cool, and overclock to 2.8ghz-3.0ghz.

Thanks

I'm pretty sure of buying the CPU in the link -- but I need suggestions for a good HSF please :)

Ok, I've ordered my stuff and updated my BIOS to support Brisbane CPUID.

I could go for a cheaper model and get a similar overclock, but **** it, let's blow all of my money!

Rosewill RCX-Z940-SL 92mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler - Retail

It's got good reviews, looks good, and most importantly it comes with the CPU in a $20 off combo! Wooh!

SAMSUNG Black 1.44MB 3.5" Internal Floppy Drive

For BIOS related junk in the future. Plus I bought ten floppy disks and just noticed my floppy drive doesn't work, don't want to waste my $ now :p

SilenX IXP-54-14 80mm Case Fan

$13 for 32CFM @ 14dba, why is this not bought more? It's -2CFM of my current case fan which is 30dba.

I'll post the overclock when I get all of these parts next week.. :)

Just got it. I've got it clocked at 3.00ghz right now to break it in but when I get more time in a few days I'll try to get the max stable.
