It seems like its taking about two hours to complete a frame. Is this normal? I've never seen one take this long before. I've been running big packet wu's on this xeon box for some time, and the longest I've ever seen is 1 hour per frame. Is this some new super duper wu?

Yep the 600 pointer's do take some time but are well worth it in the long run.

Hey!! YOu live pretty close to me... I'm in Buffalo, NY. Did you guys get any of that snow yesterday? We got about 1 ft dumped on us. It was the first big snow of the year.
Also, about the points. I've been getting 600 pts for wu's that took half the time....How do you get the information about the protein you're working on (example:you cited that it had an 82 day time out, and was worth 600 pts)?

Its a single....I rebooted my computer, and now its finishing a frame every hour...curious...

Oh, yeah.......... I forgot not all Xeons have HT. Of course, you can run 4 on a non-HT Xeon, but you won't get the production increase.... it'll just slow your frame times down (which is why people with dialup use 4 instances..... that way they don't have to sign online to get new WU's all the time.)

[edit]

Yeah, 1 hr per frame is about average on the 600 pointers that I've had.... they go from 45 minutes to 1hr 10 minutes depending on the WU.

It seems like all I can get are the 600 ptrs. I wish I coul snag some of the lower point varieties once in awhile. I like to check my points daily, and having it sit idle for two to three days is like waiting for Christmas...Big payoff in the end, but hard to sit and wait for...

You'll get the most points from the 600 and 364 pointers...... they process faster than the smaller WU's so you get more points in a week on those than you would if you got straight 100 point WU's.

Ryu: I think your frame times are messed up b/c there's no way you're betting my P4 ;)

LMFAO I am beating your Intel chip. Running an AMD Athlon xp 2500+M @ 2.63 and I am getting a solid 34 min per frame..maybe your intel is broken :p
