About 2 weeks ago, I recently got a MacBook. As we all know the new ones come equipped with a C2D, I have the 1.83 Ghz Merom C2D in my system.

How would I go about setting this system up to fold? I was reading a bit here in the forums, and I noticed some people saying that the C2Ds put out outrageous amounts of PPD.

I'm using OS X and I don't plan on using windows at all on this machine. Let me know, cause I need something that can get me going higher in the ranks!

Make sure, if you're going to use it, that you set the battery option, so you don't kill your battery (if its not plugged it, FAH wont run).

Yes. OS X SMP client is the way to go. Be sure to check your Energy Saver settings in the System Preferences. You don't want the computer set to sleep, etc.

Ok, and what is the estimated ppd I would get with this?

I don't have any Merom T5600 1.83GHz running, but a souped up Mac mini with Merom 2.0GHz T7200 runs;

p2605 TPF 00:20:47 TPU 1d10h58:41
p2604 TPF 00:20:42 TPU 1d10h38:28
p3025 TPF 00:09:32 TPU 15h53:15

And my Mac mini Yonah T2400 1.83GHz runs;

p2605 TPF 00:27:47 TPU 1d22h21:50

You can do the math. ;)
