Norton AV 2005 Error

I used to have Norton AV installed but it was uninstalled for some reason. The problem is that about 1/2 way through installation I recieve an error saying "Installation could not be completed" with no real description of the problem. It always freezes right when it says "Removing EULAKey:xxxxxxxxxxx" (where xxx is a bunch of numbers). Someone help me please I need my av.

Is it giving you a error number? Or just telling you 'Installation could not be completed', Removing EULAKey

go download the uninstaller from norton, maybe the uninstall didn't remove all the entries/files properly.

SpySweeper and any other programs that monitor/control registry entries might be causing issues as well, may want to end any such programs furing NAV installs.

No there is no error number, it just freezes.
