System maxing out CPU

It happens intermittently and causes TF2 to lock up for the duration (unthinkable!).

I really have no idea what stuff falls under the System process so I don't know where to look for causes,...

The every couple of minutes the System process pegs an entire core of my CPU for ten to twenty seconds. This seems to correspond with a high latency in my internet connection.

Either get one more 1gig stick that matches what you already have, or get two 2gig sticks. The goal is to have an even number of matching sticks.

I think I was able to get almost to 3Ghz on stock...

I can't do either.

Videos are .avi and .mkv. Do they need to be .wmv in order to add tags and a rating, or am I missing something?
