My friend gave me his old TI-4800 and decided to throw it in my comp to see how it compares to the TI-4200 I had.

Agreed! Besides I have hardly heard of Albatron and my friend lives by XfX and he is always having problems. Although he is cheap so XfX fits into his budget better.

If you plan on moving it to an upper bay, then that may not be a bad idea. A little airflow is nice, so you always have hte option of controlling the fans like you said.

I do have a cooler but it is a case fan that pulls air in the front and over the hard drives. Use smartfan to monitor your raptor's temperature. Mine stays a little above ambient.
