I'm about half way through the reinstall right...

I'm about half way through the reinstall right now. The old install was, well, weird. The DVD drive couldn't start and didn't show up in My Computer. Half a dozen system things in Device Manager...

Muahahaha. I forgot I had logmein installed on the computer. I can log in from my other computer and use its mouse and keyboard. :attn:

Well figured it out.

Sytem only likes the highpoint 2.31 or 2.32 drivers (the non-windows certified ones)

So now it works fine.

Funny thing is these are the only drivers that also dont work...

Ok, it rebooted on my again today so I took it outside, blew the dust out (wasn't too much), and checked stuff.

The ATX cable on the PSU has 4 or 5 brown/burned plugs, all on red (presumably +5)...

actually, the voltage on the new caps can be higher than what is rated. When I fixed a few of my boards, I used the same capacitance, but usually higher voltage because they were easier to find.

It was pulling about 2.2Amps at full load. So that works out to about 260 Watts. Running 24/7, that worked out to cost...

anywho, the system was really flaky when I was first testing it, would only soft boot, and then only sometimes.....
