To reiterate the original purpose of the survey... we're just kicking around ideas here. Nothing more. The only "plan" at this point was to run a trial of contextual ads to guests. Based on the overwhelmingly negative feedback, I think we're got our answer without running the trial. Contextual ads are DOA on ocforums.
Back to how we started down this road... ocforums is a strong and growing community. iNET is going to do what's right for the community to continue this trend, and we're going to ask for your feedback along the way. That's what we did here. We asked for feedback. We heard it. And we reacted.
iNET is also committed to maintaining the clean, classy interface of ocforums. When compared to some of the site you might consider competition (hardocp for example), the difference is clear.
