Select "Tools" and then "Internet Options" and type in address of the new default home page. You can also have him set up a different user account for his wife so she has her own home page and he can keep his. Just make sure he uses a password that she doesn't know :D.

Does that help?

I was going to mention the registry clean, but I was hoping it wouldn't come to that. I came home from work one day and my roomate had answered "yes" to a bunch of "would you like to install" questions.

My computer had a virtual girl floating above the system tray, the default homepage had changed, the registry default had been changed, and the machine had more spyware than a politician has parking tickets.

Regedit (use at your own risk, mess up, and your computer is toast. You've been warned):

Start/Run/regedit. Go to Edit/Find and type in the name of said porn site "w3.cheerleadersonfire.something" and delete each key you find. Then exit.

I should have also said to backup your registry before changing anything.

A few months ago I had the same problem after I visited a Warez site. The site had not only changed my Home PAge but changed the Search engine as well so that if you type in some nonsense on the address bar, you end up at an adult-portal search engine.

The fix was to edit the registry but also to download a special removal tool from the site itself.

Now THAT Pi**ed me off.

EDIT: Better? :)
