OC AGP

is there a vid card that can take 83 mhz agp bus?
if so do you need to drop down to AGP 1X to keep it stable?

I have read that the epox 8k7a+ has a 1/5 PCI divider but
lacks a 2/5 AGP divider.

would it be better to run AGP 4x at 66mhz rather
then AGP1x at 83 mhz?

No cheapo card could take 85MHz AGP, but you may find some that will. Now You would most definately need to drop it down to 1x to handle that speed, although you MIGHT get away with 2x. And yes, you would get better performance at 1x 83MHz bus then 4x 66MHz.

I pushed my Leadtek to 100mhz bus and it still worked with minor distortions. Worked fine at 80-90, started artifacting any higher.

My 3D Prophet ran OK at 88 MHz for quite some time OK....Currently running at 73 MHz with AGP 2x and sidebanding enable.
