I've been noticing these popping up in my event log for a while:

Code:
Event Type:	Error
Event Source:	Disk
Event Category:	None
Event ID:	11
Date: 21/07/2002
Time: 12:24:00 PM
User: N/A
Description:
[b]The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Harddisk1\DR1.[/b]
Data:
0000: 00220004 00720001 00000000 c004000b
0010: 00000101 00000000 00000000 00000000
0020: 40e5ee00 00000004 00000000 00000000
0030: 00000000 0000002a 00008f02 00040803
0040: 2002002a 0000f772 0080

They seem to happen on boot up, while starting services (and at no other time). Today there was 8 of them, and one that said "A parity error was detected on \Device\Ide\IdePort1."

There is no problems on the hard drives, i've thouroughly scanned them all using scandisk. I have had no problems with the hard drives, they are all running well. Any ideas?

(the first computer in my sig, both are IDE, 60Gig=pri master, no slave, 30 gig=sec. master, no slave)

(I think) I'm currently running the newest VIA drivers.. I'll give uninstalling & re-installing a shot and see what happens. They're running on Win2k's Default IDE Controller drivers.
