windows xp drive refresh problem

i'm having some problems with Windos XP, it isn't huge but it makes some games mess up, my WIndows XP home edition doesn't refresh the cd label in my cd-rom when i put in a new one, a couple games don't recognise the cd's and i have to restart before i can play (i.e. morrowind). any suggestions or patches?

Happened to me, even at stock. Pretty weird eh. Like I'll eject the drive and it won't even take off the logo, even using the Windows command "Eject."

Oh well, I'm glad I'm not using Windows XP no more

seen that too. i dont know if its a bad install or what. something is screwd. was it always like this? or just recent?

IT's one of XPs many glitches. I some times get that. I also sometimes get a taskbar that won't go down and autohide is on.
