In windows xp pro how to I partition my hard drive so that I have...........

My OS on 2gigs by itself. Allowing the rest of my harddrive to have its on space? I tried this yesterday because someone told me it would make my OS run faster. The problem is I have the OS under the C: drive, but the rest of my harddrive doesn't show up any where. I have a cdrom D: drive. The E: drive is a cd burner. If someone knows how to do this it would be greatly appreciated. thanks
