    motorbyke raditor?

hey guys, i was wondering if i could use a motorcycle raditor to do the cooling and anti-freeze with it... will it work eficiently?

the anti-freeze was the one i had on my car radiator, but it had a leak, so they took it all out, gave it to me, fixed the radiator and then poured a new one.

I heard that they offer more resistance than say a heater core from a small car. Chevy Chevette heater cores are cheap and effective, from what I've read. See some of the articles on the overclockers site for details:

Also - you may want to consider something other than anti-freeze. Distilled water + waterwetter (get at any auto store) should give you better heat transfer. Just don't have more than 5% WW in the mix. See this:

    Hope it helps!

    Motorcycle radiators work fine.

Heres a dual peltier system using a bike radiator.

I haven't been at this long - I'm sure most of them work great. I just wonder if all MC rads are the same - this guy seems to have found one that is dependant on considerable pressure to force water into all of the parts of the rad. It isn't a single continuous path. Granted, the 1046 he's using is no monster pump, but this rad sounds like a bad one.

Just have a good look at yours, and make sure it's not the same kind.

thank you for the review... i asked about the anti freeze because i have that bottle almost full... but i will try to find what you said. On the other hand, isnt the bike system as a car one? i'll need then a pump...

i guess now that it will be easier to build a micro freezer or to buy one and open the door near the cpu. LOL

Any good ideas to make a cheap, compact and efficient cooling system?
