I got this email after putting a bid on Ebay.

"Hello,
It has come to my attention that you may have an interest in
aquiring the operating system Windows xp pro and or the application
program Office xp pro.

I am selling win xp professional, full version. The version I
have is not the retail version. They are Oversea-English-Version.
They are given out at IT professionals conference meetings to anyone
who comes to them. Because it does NOT have the "Activation" policy
files attached to the disk, it was not sold to the public, rather it
is simply used to promote business with System Builders (anyone who
showed up the meetings. This is a regular practice of Microsofts).

It is not a beta version, trial version, pre-release or anything
like that. And although this is a copied CD and not an official
Microsoft disk, it works just as well and has much more benifits.
For example: It has no activation files, it can be installed as many
times as you like, on as many computers as you like. There are NO
limitations what-so-ever. However, there would be NO Web Based
Support from MS(because you didn't buy it from them). That works the
same with any pre-install also, like compaq or dell, etc. etc.

Make note that Microsoft states on their web site that :
Registration for win xp pro is..."Completely Optional". It's all up
to you! This version can be updated at any time via windows
update(just the same as a retail version) and also internet explorer
6.0(and you don't have to be registered to do so)

This is Windows xp professional, full version, and as such, it
can be used to upgrade from an existing operating system, or it can
also be used to perform a "clean" installation on a blank hard drive.

I'd be willing to sell it to you for a very low price of $40 plus
Shipping/Handling free and if you include Office xp pro with it, I'll
pay your shipping for a total of $60 us dollars.
You simply cannot beat this. This would cost you $299 plus tax
in the store, $600 for both cds, and you can only install the
store-bought version on one computer. Again, there are NO limitations
or restrictions with this version(other than the web based support,
who uses that anyway)

If you would like one ( Windows XP PRO or Office XP PRO or both
), email me with your shipping address and inform me which item you
want and I'll send it to you in advance. You will receive it in 4-8
business days (sent from outside States) and check it out to see if
it is in good condition ,then email me back about installation &
payment.

I will give you code to install after I got your payment for it
via Online-Paying . That's
a fair way to do buisness over the net.

Thank You, hope to hear from you soon"

He left his email but I omitted that. Something seems fishy about it.
