Does anyone know what Windows services Norton AV 2003 uses?
I just installed WinXP Pro corp. I used a guide over at www.techspot.com to disable unneeded services, then bought a copy of Norton AV 2003. When I go to install it, it immediately crashes. "Installation ended prematurely because of an error". Of course, this is not listed anywhere on Norton's site that I could find.
I installed it on another PC (WinXP Home) and it installed perfectly. I never tweaked the services on this machine.
I'm thinking Norton AV uses one or more services that I've disabled.
