I'm trying to decide whether I should use my thermalprobe to measure my cpu readings. I'm currently using an ABit ST6 motherboard which uses on-die sensor readings, which are, from what I hear, are known to read the cpu temperatures at least 10c higher than motherboards which uses the thermosister found in the center of the socket.
I find that my cpu readings are off from what they really are since even at 50c (under load), my AX-7 is cold to the touch. I'm wondering if on-die sensor readouts are more accurate than thermosister readouts and would it be a good idea to use the probe to determine what my cpu temp really is and then conpensate in mbm?
