256Mb 400Mhz PC3200 184Pin DDR Memory Module £54.95
Abit KD7 Socket A Motherboard with DDR400,USB £84.95
56.6 Rockwell Chipset PCI Data/Fax/Voice Mode £11.95

64MB ATI Radeon VE DDR Chipset AGP Graphics C £29.95
Total Cost: £228.26

It will have a duron 700Mhz with a akasa 832, cd-rw,cd drive,40gb segate 5400rpm.
Could you tell me if this is a good deal and how it will overclock?
:D

Its ok, but you could improve in some areas. If possible, Id recommend picking up a cheap XP 1600+, which will dramatically improve your performance and chances of OCing. Also, see if you could get a good performing, mid-priced heatsink, like an AX-7. These two upgrades will last a while, and really reap the benefits of your mobo and RAM. Also, if you can, don't get the Radeon VE, but the regular original Radeon 7000 (non-VE). If you plan to game any, it would REALLY help if you went with a Radeon 8500 instead.

BTW, WELCOME TO THE FORUMS!

Avoid the Radeon VE like the plague. Spend a few extra bucks and get a 7500, or a GeForce 3 Ti something, but not a Radeon VE. Don't get a 7000 if you can avoid it, either. THe 7000 doesn't have an onboard T&L engine, which is essential for games.

Thanx for the input. I was planning on buying a 1600 later. what about the 64MB ATI Radeon 7500LE Chipset AGP Graphics Card for £44.59
