Trying to assemble the best Capture/encoding computer. Need help.

Hey guys,

looking for a new machine to capture and encode.

Was looking at the Pinnacle Studio Deluxe V8 w/ capture card located here:

Anyone know of any better capture card in that price range?

Also, what is better to encode, SMP or single processor. the Duallie motherboards don't have a high FSB but the single do. So what do you think?

I would really appreciate any info, and also please give me suggestions of what other pieces I should get..i.e.: Memory (XMS Corsair 3200) and stuff like that.
