help

i have just put a old modem in my comp and when i started it up it turned on for a few secounds and then turned off. i tried again and the same happend, so i took out the modem and turned it on and the same it loads up to post beeb and then shuts itself off. so i cleared the cmos and again now it turns on blank screen no post beep and turns itself off after 4 minites. please could you help me?

i don't know how to help you, but try posting this in the asus forum or the networking forum. they may be able to help you. SMP is the forum for dual (and more) processor folks
