M/B Minimum Space Requirements

Hi,

What I need to know is simple. How high does an PCI card extend from the m,otherboard? I need to know the minium amount of space a M/B can live in.

Depends on what PCI card you're talking about.....A PCI modem card can be fairly narrow, but other cards could be taller. You need to get the specs on the cards that will be used....

While the height of the actual PCI card may vary, you need to keep in mind that the metal mounting bracket part of the PCI card is always the same size (about 4 3/4 inches).

I think I know what you are talking about as I have researched this for my own small case.

A pci card itself varies but the metal part that you screw down is about 12cm tall. The length of a atx mobo is 11" don't know hight of the top of my head.
