I've got a Volcano 7 in my system which I snipped the themoster off of. The... "thing" cools my CPU to 46*C full load and, as of now, I have very poor airflow and I know it. The question is simple: will adding noise dampners to the inside of my case reduce the noise I hear outside the case eminating from my... "thing" even once I've got my fans in place in the front and back of my case?

Thing = Heatsink Fan... AKA - *Bleepin'* Plane in my... ahem... Case!

Lastly, how bad do these noise dampners hold in heat? The dampner comes from Bigfoot Computers at www.bigfootcomputers.com. Thank you for your help and time.

thing...

the answer is yes it will, ive tested it in my full tower with 10 fans 7of them being 80mm jobs...it works but dont expect amazing results...it was wrth the money though....
