How can I find how many watts a device uses?

as stated above...

I have a CD-ROM that uses 5v- 1amp and 12v-1.2amp how do I find the watts used.

Watts=volts*amps.

Watts=power=rate of doing work.

By the looks of things a 100watt PSU will power a low end ~500mhz cele 4200 rpm HDD and a mini ATX with 128mb of ram Goody

hmm.... how many amps dose a proc take or watts? dose it change for each proc (i guess it dose... a link to a chart maybe?)?
