Is it a good overclocker like they say ?
on my MSI kt266pro2 -ru will it be detected as unlocked?
temps are not a prob.
After some burning in will it run @ 133x15 without and manual unlock?
PLease say yes!
i'm @ the checkout of the newegg shopping webpage waiting :p

There are no guarantees, but I've used this chip for a friends system, and i'd say this is the best bang for the buck chip you can get.

And why would you want to adjust the multiplier up ?

I just bought it!
Wish me luck i hope i get a good overclocker
the multiplier adjust would be to stay away from the fsb
i'd rather oc just the cpu
cause my mem ain't exactly top notch
i got the slk-800 to for my tt smart fan2...
by the way i own a 1800+ palomino already but as we all know it blows on oc all u get locked is 1.6
laterz

thanks emericana :)
but are the rumors true?
just set the multi to 15 and it will stay @ 15 when booting up?
without going back to it's lock default setting?
cause the reason i got it was so i didn't have to unlock the palo i have
thanks..

No as far as I know the KT266A and below only support tbreds 2000+ and down, which means not only you just CAN"T select a x15 even, if you mod the bridges it wouldn't work. I suggest you email MSI asking if the XP2400+ will work in ur mobo (it has default x15 multi) if they say it will, there is an easy way of modding the L3 bridges to get any multi from x5 to x18.5
