Are Floppy drive cables the same as IDE hard drive cables?

Are the cables that connect the MB IDE controller and floppy drive controller which connects to the floppy disk and hard drive the same?
 
no, floppy cables are smaller than IDE cables but look the same. IDE cables will either have 40 or 80 pins. Not sure how many the floopys have. And if its a ribbon cable the floppy will have a red stripe on one sipe that matches pin 1 on the floppy drive.
 
No, you need a different cable for floppy drives. On floppy drives, a part of the cable is twisted near the floppy end connector.

nope, i require a different smaller cable. it uses a 34 pin cable rather than the 80 pin cable that the IDE devices require.
