Well, it looks like the QuadroFX cards are becoming available (http://www.nvidia.com/view.asp?page=quadrofx). They look to be substantially faster than ATi's R300 based Fire GL (at least in some tests).

Does anyone know if ATi plans on releasing R350 or R400 based Fire GL cards?

*prepares to turn a GeForceFX into a QuadroFX...*

The combination of high precision and full scene antialiasing (FSAA), with support for resolutions up to 3840x2400 QUXGA, results in visual quality unmatched by any solution previously seen in the industry.

heh

The Quadro FX doesn't have a rediculous cooling setup like the GeForce FX. I wonder why that is.

Maybe they used better components with the Quadro and didn't have to up the clocks beyond their native speeds...

Also, the Quadro FX uses DDR-II SGRAM (ie dual ported). Can the same be said for the GeForce? I remember when 64MB cards came out they went to SDRAM because of the difficulty associated with finding large quantities of SGRAM.
