Because I'm going to get a smaller case (go from a full tower chassis to a small case) for purposes that include noise, I was thinking that maybe I should also get a new heatsink. I have a swiftec MCX370 (I think) and I'm pretty sure it has a 60mm on the heatsink. Because of noise, could I just also buy just a new heatsink fan instead of a whole new heatsink? I payed around $50 for the heatsink, so I'm not too crazy about the idea of getting rid of it.
What would be a good and quiet 60mm to go on this heatsink? I just always figured that smaller fans are always noisier (like a 120mm is much softer than a 60mm, for instance) so I'm not too sure what to do about this heatsink situation I have.
What do you suggest I do?
Thanks!
