Hi,

I am looking at getting a MXL-MONO rad from www.maxxxpert.com. Has anyone had one? Are they any good? What do they rank on the 10 point scale? What would you suggest for something better?

thanks for your help

Sorry, I can't read korean.... I don't even know how to find the radiator. But apparently from people here you can buy a chevette heater core for cheap which cools more efficiently than a radiator.

it depends on what you are looking and your budget. The strong point about this Rad is that it's inexpensive and give ok cooling. Is is great or real good? no. On 10 that woul be a 5. Here's different links where you can see what I'm talking about price wise and performance wise.

http://www.case-mod.com/store/product_info.php?cPath=21_24_74&products_id=254 that is your Maxxpert rad.

http://www.cooltechnica.com/Merchan...Store_Code=C&Product_Code=BIX&Category_Code=R If your are cramped for space only because you can get better and cheaper.

thiis is way better: http://dtekcustoms.safeshopper.com/19/92.htm?384 and use a shroud. You can get their's or there's a sticky to make one with a tupperware container that will work as well. Even that heatercore. If you want you can get it from an autopart store, clean it and do all the prep work yourself. That will save you more $$.

If you have even more money you can get bigger heatercores...but that dtek custom heatercore is a good size, good performer and offers better cooling than anything else it's size.

For a radiator, the MXL-mono is pretty good. It might be a bit restrictive, but it does have a very large surface area due to the lengthy copper tubing and dense alu fins... and it's in a handy 120mm sized cube.

For performance watercooling, a heatercore would be better. Coincidentally, I am replacing my old WC setup with this MXL mono rad now... with a DTEK heatercore and some other goodies. =)

I won a 50$ gift certificate for www.xoxide.com and they stock this Radiator. Would It be worth it to get two of these, and since I have a PC60 put one on my blowhole and the other on the front of the case? Final Price for me 10$

or Should I get this radiator www.heatercore4u.com2-220.htm for ~24$ at my local place and mod it to draw air from the bottom of my case and blow it up towards my HDD Rack? Final Price for me 35$ (H/c , cutting stuff, barbs, (fans I would get from xoxide.com))
