abit kd7

i know that the kt400a chipset is supposed to have the 1/6 pci divisor, and the kt400 was originally supposed to but didnt. heres my question, i just got a refurb kd7 from newegg( even came in the box with all drivers and cables) and in my bios i have the option for a 1/6 divisor does it work? i would test myself but i ordered this mobo for my stepfather and he has a locked 2000+ paly so im just kinda wonderin if i should be kickin myself for not givin him my kt333 board

I also had that option with mine and the shipped bios, it however wouldn't support my 2700+ so it didn't matter, I reflashed and the option is gone so I would say and also have read that it either didn't work or didn't work properly,give it a try and let us know.

it was only there in the original bios, but in later bios's it was remove because it didnt not work.

makes me feel better, id hate to think i was giving someone a better motherboard than i have
