Visual Basic Question

I am building a MP3 Hard disk player, and I need a program that will transfer files from mu pc to the player via the printer port, I know everything about the port and interfacing, all i need to know is how do I read the binary of a mp3, I know how to read it in a hex viewer, but i need a program that can automatically read the files binary and shup it out the port, i downloaded this VB source code for a hex viewer, I was looking for the part that converts the file into numbers, then i was going to just have the program take those numbers andship it out, but i can't find the part that converts it to numbers! Heres the file,

UPDATE:there are two versions in that zip, I use the number one one, or the one for slower computers!
