I've been having a problem, i have 512 MB stick of Pc2700 Generic ram in my pc at the moment, and i cannot boot windows, it either freezes or pauses, and yet there is no memory error, and it passes POST sequence, im using an Asus A7N8X and no matter where i put the ram (1,2,3) it will not boot, but if i use a stick of 128 Pc2100 it boots fine, is the ram dead, or is it a problem of settings?

absoloutly no clue, its budget ram i picked up for $20, its been working fine for 3 months on my old board, but i figured maybe it had reached its time x_x

if anyone can provide any help please do, ive tried so many things, and i just don't have the money to spend on new ram.
