I understand the point of this post, but it really is deceiving. I was told to use RealTemp as its the "best". I was using CoreTemp (and still am).

I got RT and it was showing temps 5° lower. Huh?!? I was using the latest version (this was last week). They have TJMax set to 95° rather than 100°. CoreTemp is set to 100° by default now.

So it would be nice to know what everyone is basing their temps off of.
 
Im only on an aluminum hs but only on an be 2400 so ill be good for now. :D
 
All these people posting load/idle temps 5 degrees apart clearly don't know what a load is. Use a stress test and check your load temp again.

at stock speeds my q6600 is 1.04 vcore, 25 idle / 36 load

I'm loving this new chip.

Overclock temps in sig.

Read b/n the lines. He's only using 1.04v vcore. His temps seem very plausible to me under the conditions given.
