    Windows Update

I just installed Windows 2000 and started doing the windows update. It's very slow while installing. Is this normal? It takes a long time to install a 7 MB critical update. I only have Norton Internet Security running could this be slowing it down?

Yeah installing some of the updates can take a while, especially the service packs. Just how long do you mean?

I waited for about 3 hours for 20 updates under the critical updates and service pack, the progress bar showed that it was finished for about 1 hour but it still didn't tell me to restart or a dialog box didn't appear like it usually should.
