Not p4 ready case? arr?

Case? Or power supply? The case means nothing except for form factors. If the case can take ATX boards, and youre using an ATX P4 board, than the case will work.

Not all power supplies work with P4s though. You need a the 4 pin 12 volt plug for the P4. Some power supplies do not have this and are amd only.

If youre buying a combo case/power supply, and if it does not say its P4 ready, then the PSU probably does not have the connector you need.
 
As long as the case is specified the same as the motherboard, you'll be dandy.

So...
If Motherboard = MicroATX, then get a case specified "MicroATX"
"" '' = ATX, then get a case specified as ATX

Cases do not have a bias toward P4 or AMD (or VIA or Cyrix for that matter). As posted above, make sure that your power supply is specified either P4 or AMD ready (a lot are both now-adays.)

Also note:
If the person you're buying the case/power supply from doesn't know, move on to another store. Obviously, they don't have it all together.
