Hey guys, im still pondering to go either intel or amd route... so the mobos id like to get are either the abit nf7-S for amd or the Abit IC7 for Intel. I currently have a wd 80gb 8mb buffer ATA100 drive, and im planing to buy another since it seems the best bang for the buck now.

Can i use it with either of the abovementioned mobos??? or am i forced to get one of those sweet new raptors ;) ???

thnx in advance

As far as I know... there isn't a motherboard produced for the consumer market that DOESN'T support regular EIDE drives.

Answer: Yes, you can use it.
