Cincy! Go BENGALS!!
Pay no attention to my most previous post.

Which is better out of the following and please leave a link for benchmarks:

Radeon 9700 128mb np

Radeon 9600 Pro Ultra

Radeon 9600 Pro 256mb

Radeon 9600 Pro 128mb

Thanks in advance!

3rd party companies do make Ultra but i don't think there is a 256mb one. Get the 9700.. or even a 9500 over a 9600.

why is everyone dissing 9600 Pro? I have one and I love it to death. I'm getting good benchmarks, good OC's, and plenty of performance. 9700 is better but if you can't afford it, I'd go with 9600 Pro. Also, yes there is the 9600 Pro Ultra but it's just an overclocked 9600 Pro. Don't pay extra for the ultra, just buy the 9600 Pro and overclock it. That's what I did :)

Were not, it's a good card. But the fact is it underperform's the 9700, and 9500 at stock speeds, and, in almost every case of overclocking as well.

:p

I tested a BBA 9600 Pro(around 488/355) and (256 bit)9500np(around 365/320) (not modded) head to head /w clean reformats and the 9500np won every time. I tested with performance settings and quality /w 2xAA/4xAF & 4x/4x with 3dmarks and Vice City. I'd say that's a high avrg core clock on 9600 and lower avrg core clock on 9500.. and almost the same mhz for mhz. 9500np was all stock cooling and core not maxed as i got it to about 380.. 9600P was Iceberq 4 + ramsinks and completely maxed.

I would like to see the benchmark scores because honestly every test I've seen on a 9600Pro versus a 9500np, the 9600 Pro has given it a swift beating. And we're not even taking into consideration the image quality that the 9600 Pro offers. We're just talking benchmarks. q149, I would be curious to see if you could beat my 9600Pro scores with a 9500np. How close can you come to matching the rig in my signature (I've got a 256MB stick of PC2700 if that helps any). If you can come pretty close to matching my system specs, I'll post my benchies and you post yours. okay? I really don't see how a 9500np could beat a 9600Pro. Keep me posted.
**EDIT**
I'm going to make a thread for Benchmarks of 9600Pro versus 9500np. It will be titled 9600Pro Versus 9500np

Where have you seen image quality tests that show the 9600Pro puts up better images than the 9500np or 9500pro.

I would love to see id the 9600 puts out better graphics than the 9500's. This might actually convince me to get a 9600pro instead of a 9500pro.

and there is a 9600 with 256MB -- its not a pro but it is a 9600 - only a matter of time before they but 256 on the pro.
