i read that yesterday doesn't look all that great. I know it's 32 bit and it did good in games. but amd needs to get the clockspeed up and pronto.

Clockspeed with rise as the pipelines are longer than the Athlon but AMD's gotta be careful to not hit a clockspeed wall early on with this first generation of Hammers/Opterons as it basically holds the key to their continued existence.

exactly if they can get to 2.4-2.5 ghz on the 130 nm process they'll be alright but if they srruggle to get 2.2 there gonna be in big trouble especially with prescott around the corner.
