If I am doing just a slitedge waterblock and a heatercore, will I lose much going with a Danner mag 2 at 250 gph (at 25 watts) vs the mag 3 at 350 gph (at 35 watts)? The local petsmart carries the mag 2 for 29.99, and to get a mag 3 I have to go to marinedepot at 39.95+ $6 shipping...

I know the gph is much better, but the higher wattage also dumps more heat into the water too...

Thanks
Mike

I own both pumps, and I've used both on a modified swifty 462B.
The motherboard in-socket sensor noticed only a 1 degree difference in between the 2 pumps. Now the 462B is a pretty free flowing block, so these results cant hold the same as a micro channel.

If you only plan on using just a cpu block, I would just go with the mag 2. However, if you plan on adding more blocks, then the mag 3 would be a better choice, IMO
