Hey guys,

I'm going to be beta testing a whole slew of P4 boards for
DFI, and I'm looking to have a benchtop watercooling setup
so I can really push these boards and see how far they can go.

The thing is, since I'm going to be testing a lot of boards, and
a lot of processors, I'd like to be able to use the P4 plastic
bracket as if I was using a HSF setup. Using the 4 holes and
screw mounting would be too painfull for motherboard testing.

Does anyone know of a P4 waterblock that has a bracket system
like I'm looking for? I'd like to stick with a higher end waterblock
to, so something like Senfu is out of the question.

Any and all help is greatly apprecaited!

~Eric~

Hmm, expensive, but good.

Anyone else have some options?

Or maybe something for sale?

Yeah, I think I read that on HardOCP. But aren't they about
the same performance as good air? I was hoping for a little
bit better, as noise is not an issue on a test bench.

I'm going to read into that one though. I just couldn't remember
the name of it!

Thanx again!

Anyone else?

I read up on their page, and I didn't see a P4 bracket anywhere.

Anyone got a link? Maybe I just missed it.

DangerDen has made Socket Hold Down versions of the Maze4, though I'm not sure if P4-478 is one of them at the moment.

You can find some in forums for sale for good prices (under 40 bucks)

Here ya go bro the water block that they use for this review just slips right in to the P4 bracket. THey even have a link to the place that sells them. the place is called Extreme Tek Werkz

Here is a direct link to the Typhoon 478

Dude, that's some nice work! I was thinking about something
like that exactly, but I just don't have the tools for it.
My other option was to use a screw and clip setup like an
AMD waterblock, but to clip on the plastic bracket frame.

Thanks:)

You can probably make a plate to go between the w/b and P4 clip with a thumb screw centered at the w/b. That would work fine.

I decided to go with that Typhoon even though it was
hella expensive. And I went ahead and picked up a spare
Plastic Bracket. I needed one anyways...but DAMN that's some
expensive waterblocks....

I guess you pay for ease of use (sigh)

Sure is a sweet looking block though. And the clipping mechanism looks easy to use.

Yeah, the clipping mech almost looks universal.

If I wasn't so pressed for time, I might look for cheap heatsinks
that use a similar method. I'd just buy the HSF and toss the
copper and keep the clip. I've already got two other Danger
Den blocks...but as I said, I'm really looking for quick swap
with good performance!

Thanx again guys.
