How do I install a new Mobo and not re-installXP?

Would you suggest un-installing the old mobo drivers just before you shut down to swap mobos? Perhaps with a repair install that wouldn't be necassary.

uninstall as much stuff from the device manager as possible. Boot into safe mode, remove as much as you can from the device manager, shut down, install the new mobo, boot up with cd and do a repair installation. After that, it should be fine. You'll still have to do a windows update like I stated before to re-install the service pack, etc.. Good luck
