External dvd burner buying questions

We are looking to buy an External dvd burner for work since most of our systems right now are leased laptops. We would be preferably looking for a usb device thats affordable. If anyone has any reccommendations let me know. I'm not sure about what we can spend but don't be posting anything outragous.

Well I don't know what you consider outrageous, but sony has a very nice one for under 400 bucks and pioneer just released one that is cheaper, but also very nice. The sony is usb 2 and firewire, I don't know about the pioneer. I have the sony and it works fine.

I just saw the sony one for $300 on directron. will usb2 work on a normal usb port?

it will work, but it will be slower.
