Waterblock: DangerDen maze 4 40ish dollars

Pump: Danner Mag3 40ish dollars

Pump/psu switch: http://www.cooltechnica.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=PRSK&Category_Code=H

Hose clamps: http://www.cooltechnica.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=APHC&Category_Code=H

i might get like 10 of these incase they break

Tubing: 1/2in. in id cheapo stuff at homedepot, dont worry ill keep my eye out for kinks

Water Chilling: just a mini fridge that i can find for cheap

Res: 5 gallon bucket. Ill cover it somhow so the stuff dosent evaporate.

and ill also get the apropriet insulation. should i use that dielectric grease stuff for the socket? it will get cold but I dont think it will get that cold.

well what does everyone think? are those the best parts I could get for relatively cheap?

Thanks.

Looks pretty good, although I'd go with a white water as opposed to a maze4. It'll set you back about $15 more, but I'd also suggest the $25 Quiet One 1200 pump, especially in light of the Danners' leaking issues. Do not go with the cheapo stuff at Home Depot. It's like a nightmare you can't wake up from. I made that mistake, and ended up going with Clearflex60 in the end. Mini-fridges are not good choices for water chilling. They have weak compressors that aren't designed for 24/7 usage. You could go with an air conditioner, however it would be on the loud side, and beefy insulation would be a must. There's no point in having a resevoir. Use a res to fill and bleed the system, but then close up the loop, and discard it. I'd recommend against diving into extreme cooling prior to gaining some experience with straight water, as well. You can always add peltiers or chillers after completing a passive loop anyways. Good luck!

These guys are gonna beat you down about that setup. If you have the money for a mag pump then keep saving and get some clearflex or masterkleer... or whatever, something that works. The Homedepo s#it is for testing, don't use it in a production enviroment... or atleast so I am told.

DEF get clearflex 60 with thick wall... mine had a thinwall and it kinked like hell... but still less kinkin then cheap fish tubes. I would recommend staying away from Danner Mag 3 Get Hydro L30 or something reliable... "Pay now and save later" Yes 5 gallons of res is pointless... Im not a big fan of mii-fridge since there's so much that has to go into making the setup work... But its up to you. GL
