Hey all!


i just want to make sure i am with in a safe amount of power on my power supply :) ro if i need to throw in a second one in parallel.

okay here goes

the volatages on a file server right now are @

12v - 11.776
5v - 4.945 / 919
3.3v -3.344
VCore - 1.792 / 1.808

The vcore is high as this is a 1.4ghz willy and they use 1.75 defualt voltage i beleive.


i have in this system right now

  • 1 x 24x Plextor Burner
  • 3 x 120g WD 8mb
  • 2 x 200g WD 8mb
  • 3 x 80mm fans
  • Asus IPanel
  • 1 x PCI IDE Card
  • Radeon 7500 64mb
  • Themraletake spakr 7+ for intel fan on max speed
  • 512 pc2100

i am using a Vantec 530w power supply. - am i in the safe?

pictures u ask - here u go :) (i know wires are a mess but when u got that many running hard to make them neat - got to pic up 2 mroe rounded ide cable for the IDE card drives.

First thing to do is disregard the software measurements and break out a multimeter to test the "real" voltages. If your system is stable I wouldn't worry about it, but its up to you.
 
kew - it was stable but i just added the 2nd 200g today - will have to pic up a multimeter
