Hrummm...
I though everyone said this Stock Amd Barton 2500 heatsink sucked, but worked for just general usage....

Im at 36c full load @ 2gig using the stock thermal pad.....
MBM5 and Epox USDM varified......

Its 70f in my room and 21c case temp.
Guess Ill leave it on a little longer until I get my watercooler back up.....

the new bartons hs's are actually pretty good, much better than the t-bred sinks, amd made em beefier because of the fact that bartons have the extra 256k cache, making it 512k L2 cache, most ppl say they suck for overclocking but i mean, of course its perfectly fine for general use, as long as u arent doing extreme overclocking or more than 2vcore
 
Is the HS you are talking about the skivved, thin fin version?
If so, I found that to be an excellent HS, especially after I had added a 60 to 80mm fan adaptor and fan.
It was easily comparable to the Zalman7000cu that I replaced it with.
